The hype is real. I don’t know about you but whenever I look at my feed on instagram or my foryoupage on TikTok an Australian girl always pops up showing sunrise beach walks and healthy yet pretty tasty-looking bowls. Have you thought about starting to live a bit healthier? And what does that mean exactly?
Healthy living is pretty different for everyone. To me health is equivalent to doing whatever the body needs in order for it to feel at its best. That’s how I feel energised and ready to tackle on with life. The thing is the ‘go big or go home’ mentality has been around for ages. My opinion? Never expect big changes to last forever. It’s like having a boyfriend who doesn’t show he cares yet when you have that talk with him he all of sudden starts getting you flowers everyday. I mean for a week. Two if you’re lucky. Point is small steps in shaping your desired life mean much more that you’d expect. Setting the foundation is actually the most important element and the one that’s going to make the change last.
Health is much more than just eating salads and fruits. Being less on your phone and more off social media, spending more time outdoors and doing the things you enjoy with people you love might even be more important. I do get it though; You want to adopt a balanced diet and maybe add some form of exercise to your daily routine and quite possibly see some change in your body.
The benefits are honestly plenty. Beginning with the fundamentals, yes embracing a healthy lifestyle enables effective weight management and enhances self-esteem and body perception. However, the array of positive outcomes extends beyond these.By adhering to a balanced diet, one can reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and stroke, improve mental health and cognitive function, increase energy levels and productivity, strengthen the immune system, have a better quality of sleep, balance out hormone levels and overall just enjoy daily life.
